PRECISION
The L3 achieves vertical accuracy better than 3 cm at 120 m altitude, better than 5 cm at 300 m, and better than 10 cm at 500 m. Real-time position synchronization enables GCP-free operation, while the upgraded POS system delivers heading accuracy of 0.02° and pitch accuracy of 0.01° (post-processed, 1σ). Ranging repeatability of 5 mm at 150 m ensures consistent, reliable survey results across every mission.
PENETRATION
With a smaller laser spot and higher single-pulse energy, the L3 penetrates dense vegetation and complex surfaces more effectively than its predecessor. Point cloud thickness is half that of the Zenmuse L2, capturing more ground points with greater completeness — critical for terrain modelling, forestry inventory, and surface reconstruction in challenging environments.
IMAGING
Two integrated 100MP cameras deliver a ground sample distance (GSD) of 3 cm at 300 m flight altitude. Combined with LiDAR data in a single DJI Terra workflow, the L3 produces photogrammetric outputs with the same precision as dedicated mapping cameras — without the added payload complexity.
WORKFLOW
The Zenmuse L3 integrates natively with DJI Terra for LiDAR processing, PPK correction, and photogrammetry — supporting D-RTK 3 and standard base station data. PROCESSING
DJI Terra is the native processing platform for Zenmuse L3 data — supporting LiDAR point cloud generation, PPK correction, RGB photogrammetry, and deliverable export in standard GIS formats. A DJI Terra Pro or Enterprise licence is required for LiDAR processing workflows.
POSITIONING

TRANSPORT CANADA
The Zenmuse L3 is a payload system and does not require independent Transport Canada registration. However, the aircraft platform (e.g., Matrice 400 or Matrice 350 RTK) must be registered under CARs Part IX. Operators conducting commercial mapping missions must hold a valid Advanced RPAS Pilot Certificate. Contact Unmanned Canada for compliance guidance.
WARRANTY & PROTECTION
The Zenmuse L3 is eligible for DJI Care Enterprise Basic and Plus coverage, providing priority repair, replacement units, and dedicated enterprise support. Care Enterprise must be activated within 30 days of purchase. Contact Unmanned Canada to add Care Enterprise to your order.
